VT-4037 VACUUM METALLIZING TOPCOAT
 


DESCRIPTION
VT-4037 is a fast curing High Solids Vacuum Metallizing Topcoat, designed for use in flow coatings and general purpose paint applications. Among its attributes, this Topcoat offers relatively fast cure at low temperatures, outstanding adhesion, exceptional appearances at thin film load levels and very good re-coat characteristics.

In addition, VT-4037 is ideally suited for applications involving dip dyes, as it accepts stains and dye solutions readily and uniformly throughout the coating surface. The nature of this product, makes it ideally suited for most general purpose Vacuum Metallizing applications, where short lines or extended cure line times may be unavailable.

REDUCTION

Reduce 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 with VM&P Naptha, or TH-156 Thinner blend.



APPLICATION

Method: Apply by conventional and HVLP Spray, flow coat and dip.



CURE CYCLE

Flash off 15 minutes, followed by a 40 - 60 minute cure at 140 degrees F.



STORAGE

Store in tightly sealed containers, at ambient temperatures. Protect from moisture, evaporation and foreign materials. Process ability of this product can be adversely affected by evaporation and contamination.



SHELF LIFE

12 months, provided materials are kept in sealed original containers under specified conditions. Storage beyond this period can produce higher viscosities.
